The coating itself seals the paint but doesn't remove defects. However, at MH Tint Studio, we always perform a thorough multi-stage machine paint correction (polishing) to eliminate swirl marks, oxidation, and light scratches before applying the coating.

It means the surface becomes extremely water-repellent. Rainwater, mud, and road grime will form tight beads and slide off easily. This prevents water spotting, keeps your car cleaner for much longer, and makes routine washing incredibly fast and effortless.

Yes, car coatings are 'self-cleaning' to an extent because dirt struggles to stick to them, but they aren't magic. You will still need to wash your car, but it requires much less effort, and you won't need to apply waxes or sealants anymore.

To keep your coating working at peak performance and maintain warranty terms, we recommend a brief maintenance wash/decontamination top-up at our studio every 6 to 12 months. This clears accumulated industrial fallout, tree sap, and water spots that standard car washes cannot shift.
